We have been on the water as long as I can remember. Starting in my early days of carrying a Jon boat over the levee and then the outboard with Stan Shuler. Stan is a great guy to go fish for alligator Gar’s then to sell them to people for 5.00/ fish on the 17th street canal in New Orleans, the levee that broke by Lake Pontchartrain to flood New Orleans during Katrina. Stan and I would fish under the restaurants out by the lake, Fitzgerald’s and the sorts to catch the mullet to go and catch the 4-6 foot Gar’s that were close to the size of our 10 foot Jon boat.
